YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK
From late May until first snows, the park entrance is just a 2 hour drive from the cabin. About 40 minutes farther into Yosemite Valley proper, home of El Capitan and Half Dome. Even a day trip is doable and worth it. Most of the drive is an "attraction" in itself.
As the crow flies,Yosemite NP is 42 miles south of the cabin.
